Din Tai Fung

One of my favs!! Delish!

Din Tai Fung

If there’s one thing that Sydney is addicted to, it’s the search for great dumplings. We search high and low, through the back alleys and bright lights, for the perfect pocket of pork.. or shrimp.. or vegetables (hey, we’re not fussy) – and the good news is, they are in abundance in this city. But I do believe that one place does dish up a far superior dumpling, and that place is Din Tai Fung.

You might sneer at the idea of dining at a joint that has a chain of restaurants across Sydney, and if that’s the case, you are tragically missing out.

Din Tai Fung started in Taiwain all the way back in 1974, and now its red logo can be found all over the world – Australia, Japan, the United States, Singapore – and Sydney is home to four restaurants, located in World Square, Central Park, Chatswood…

Why are all the celebs going for Japanese?

I looooove sushi!!!

Just Josh

Sushi, Crispy Rice and Japanese food in general. Restaurants such as Nobu and Katsuya are spots that are regularly attended by the likes of Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian as well as younger half-sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner with Momager Kris. UK Stars such as Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright have been recently spotted eating in Nobu’s Dubai restaurant.

Recently there has been a boom in the Japanese food industry. Sushi is more popular than ever with franchises such as Yo Sushi going global with Japanese food. Japanese food is not only delicious but it has a lot of health benefits (especially sushi). Fish especially tuna provides protein for celebrities to build up that muscle and Robata Vegetables are not only healthy but are also a favourite amongst…

Page 9: Quick/Poor Man’s Baked Potato

mundane minimalist

I’ve been meaning to put this recipe up because I just made some baked potatoes today and oh my, it was delicious. I ordered a Moleskine watercolor pad today because it was the cheapest option available and I love my Moleskines. I can’t wait till they arrive, but I need to stop buying things online. I can’t help it because there are so many good deals! Anyways let’s get down to business.

Because college is coming around, I’d figured that I needed a quicker way to make some baked potatoes because no one is patient enough to wait 1 hour or something to make baked potatoes. This recipe calls for a faster way to make baked potatoes, and it tastes pretty good too! I do apologize the picture may look unappetizing because I didn’t have sour cream this time around, and that powder is a cheap way to make things…

Effulgence of remnant Sunshine

bangHe took a sip at first and let the bitterness sink in. Then he gulped the entire shot. At first, he struggled and then he forced himself to swallow it. It hit him hard and strong. He wanted to throw up and get over with it but he couldn’t. Deep inside he knew he didn’t deserve this punishment. It was his only way of taking it on himself and drowning his angst. The intense look was nothing but sadness. He was drunk and yet his mind could think of only one thing. How could she say so many lies and yet be unaffected?

He decided enough is enough and slowly started walking towards his home. He knew she would be in bed now and this was his best chance. As he reached the front door, he adjusted his jacket and pulled out a .38 revolver. He checked for the bullets and…

First Impressions: Sephora Rouge Lipstick

Love Sephora. Expensive but they have v great product. Budget for your favorite items. I’ve been known to return a few things a few times lol.

Becca B. Beauty

Now I was doing a bit of research into Sephora’s own brand lipsticks because I like to be precise as to what make it is, and noticed they had a variety of ‘Rouge’ lipsticks.. However I could only find Rouge Shine, Rouge Creme, Rouge Infusion Lip Stain or the VIB collections. This lipstick I purchased just last week only seems to be called ‘Sephora Rouge’ in a shade that’s very difficult to find any information about? Does anyone know if this range has been discontinued in the U.S.? Just it seems a little unhelpful if you can’t even seem to purchase the product I’m about to describe!! But nonetheless, I thought it was worth describing my thoughts on this lipstick brand, as it’s the first lipstick that isn’t Mac that I’ve purchased in a long long long long time!! (Plus I’ve never tried Sephora’s own collection!)

Anyway, as you may…

My Makeup Collection: Eyes

Yaaaaaas! I love this collection!

Clairey Sweetie

Hey Sweeties,

Continuing with my posts taking you through my makeup collection having already shown you my foundations (here) & blushers (here), today I thought I would take you through eyes, specifically palettes, individual pans and crayons.

Ofra in shade, Bliss: The problem with eye palettes and individual pans is that unless the brand, colour etc. is really good, the pans can get lost in the drawer and that is kind of what has happened here with Ofra. I got this sometime early last year I think in a Love me Beauty Box (here), and although I liked it at the time, it eventually got forgotten about until I dug everything out to photograph for this post. However, while I am loving bronze and gold tones, I should try and re-incorporate this pan back into the mix.
